Neha Rathi is an Advocate-on-Record in Supreme Court of India and has been practicing in the Supreme Court, High Court of Delhi and various Tribunals for over a decade. She has an extensive experience filing and arguing cases pertaining to service law, constitution law, civil law and criminal law.

About Neha Rathi

Neha Rathi is an advocate of the Supreme Court of India with over 10 years of experience practicing law. She is a keen litigator with a track record of creative and persistent representation of clients. She has extensive experience in criminal litigation, family law, labor and employment law, constitutional litigation and international human rights law. In 2024, she was appointed to serve as Assistant Attorney General.

As a legal adviser to the international organization, Center for Reproductive Rights, she has engaged in advocacy before United Nations treaty bodies and special procedures. She has worked in leading law firms in India, including Kabraji & Talibuddin and MCA Law Associates. Prior to her work in India, Neha practiced labor and employment law in Los Angeles, California, where she represented teacher and port worker unions in litigation and arbitration proceedings.


Neha actively pursues human rights cases and has an extensive pro bono practice. The Sindh High Court has appointed her as amicus curiae in a number of matters involving implementation of laws for the protection of women and children. Her analysis and commentary have appeared in leading newspapers and periodicals including Dawn and The News, and she has also published in academic journals, including the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender and Society and Contemporary South Asia.


Neha has led numerous trainings and workshops for non-government organisations and universities, including for the Human Rights Commission of India, Legal Aid Society and Lahore University of Management Sciences. She is a co-founder and Chairperson of the Women Lawyers’ Association, an organization that works to promote gender equality and continuing legal education in the legal profession.
